Friday, June 1st, 6-9pm | #metoo Stories Workshop
Laura Packer guides community adult women through innovative creative techniques to craft and tell stories of their experiences. A community performance featuring workshop participants will take place at 7 pm the following evening on Saturday, June 2nd with discussion about #metoo moments.

Headwaters Music & Arts welcomes award-winning storyteller Laura Packer to Bemidji for a series of performances and workshops with the goal to build bridges, find voice and be heard.

A storyteller, educator and consultant with 20 plus years of experience, Laura Packer of Wayzata tells original and traditional stories for all audiences with a focus on adults, families and older children. Her stories cover the range of human experience from the most grounded to the fantastical and are a collaborative creation with the audience, drawing listeners into the world of the story.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota, through a grant from the Region 2 Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

10 am-3pm Saturday, June 2nd | Find Your Voice Workshop
Laura Packer leads this workshop for teen girls allowing them to craft stories from their lives and gain confidence in their public speaking skills. The workshop concludes with 3 pm friends-and-family performance.
