Headwaters Open Mic and CoffeeHouse is set for October 7 at 7pm. Bemidji-based artist and songwriter Doyle Turner grew up in Northern Minnesota and combines insightful and powerful lyrics with memorable melodic phrases. His reflective lyrics bring forth the soulful depth of experience to these songs. Doyle releases his third album Sweet, Difficult Sounds just a few weeks before the October 7 Open Mic when he will bring his originals to the Headwaters stage.
Held on the first Friday of most months, the Headwaters Open Mic offers a welcoming and supportive community for musicians and spoken-word performers. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to sign up for a 10 to 15 minute set.
