Have you ever wondered how paper was made? Learn the process and make your own sheets of paper with paper makers Bonnie Vigness and Linda Bissell. Use common plant matter that can be collected from the kitchen such as pineapple and asparagus to make your own beautiful sheets that you can take home.
Bonnie and Linda have been making their own paper for years. They started to explore the process as a way to reuse shredded paper and then continued experimenting with vegetable and fruit matter. They often experiment with fibers that would otherwise be tossed as compost or recycling. The two have made paper for local artists and Bonnie continues to take orders for custom paper.
The workshop will be held Saturday, March 30th, 10:00am – 3:00pm and is for adults. No experience necessary but advance registration is required (limited number of spots available).
