Heart-To-Art Instructor Showcase Highlights

On March 8, 2025 at the Loft Event Center, Headwaters Music & Arts held our annual Heart-To-Art Instructor Showcase event, and the night an incredible success. We surpassed our fundraising goal for the Headwaters scholarship fund, bringing in a grand total of $8,358! Attendees participated in on online auction, and a live auction, and the winners went home with paintings by local artists, music performance tickets, a boutique hotel stay and much more. Headwaters instructors blew us away with their artwork and music performances. There was delicious food, great ambiance, and a strong sense of community amongst all of us who create and support the arts here in Bemidji.

Headwaters owes a debt of gratitude to everyone who participated in the event - performers, organizers, and attendees alike. And a special recognition goes to those who couldn’t be there in person but sent in donations for the campaign. As Tricia stated at the end of the video we presented during the show: we couldn’t do what we do at Headwaters without all of you!

The good news is that we don’t have to wait until next year’s Heart-to-Art to gather again. Monroe Crossing will perform in Bemidji on May 17th at the Chief Theater, and tickets for that performance will be available soon. Student recitals and end-of-school-year celebrations are coming up in April and May, and summer camp registration is already open on our website, with offerings for both youth and adults. There are so many ways to be involved at Headwaters!

The entire team at Headwaters - staff, board members, and volunteers alike - were lifted up by this incredible show of support from the members. of our community. Here’s to more music and art in our future together!
