Headwaters Music and Arts announces Artist Circle, a six week-long workshop for teens and adults of all skill levels on Tuesday evenings from 6-8 pm November 7 to December 12 to be held at 519 Minnesota Ave NW, Bemidji. The program fee is $200, with a reduced member fee of $180. The program is limited to 10 participants and the registration deadline is November 3.
The program is led by area artist Mary Therese. Participants will create a series of projects using the circle as a focal design element, and will explore and learn new techniques using pencils, paints, inks and dyes on multiple surfaces. The finished projects will be beautiful pieces of art to give as gifts or keep to enjoy.
Mary Therese, a full-time professional artist for over 30 years, has received fine arts degrees in painting and printmaking and art education. She works as a surface designer working on fabric and is also a mural artist often involving community members.
