Description
Headwaters Rock Band program is a ‘group performance’ class for musicians with one to two years of experience playing guitar, drums, piano, bass, or voice. Drumkits and most instruments are provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a secondary instrument if they would like to learn how to improvise!
Led by Headwaters music instructors, Headwaters Rock Band focuses on learning covers, songwriting, chord progressions, scales, singing harmonies, soloing, band communication, and just having fun making music together. The program ends with a live show for family and friends. Over the eight classes you will work together as a band to choose what songs you want to practice and learn, drawing from the many rad decades of rock ‘n roll. You will end the class with a live show for family and friends. Space is limited, advance registration is required.
This program is being offered as part of ISD 31’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers program. The $200 registration fee is waived for participants in the 21st Century CLC program, and its registration form is available by contacting Headwaters Music & Arts.
