Dear friends,
Headwaters Music & Arts is passionate about fostering creativity and artistic growth in our community. Our values of innovation, collaboration and empowerment guide us every day as we enact our mission “to provide opportunities for creativity through instruction and inspire the community through music and the arts.” And the support of our donors and friends is what allows us to do so. Please consider making a donation to Headwaters and supporting our good work.
In recent years we’ve been able to start our rock band program, expand our art and pottery offerings, improve our building and install beautiful Ojibwe language signs. In 2024 we’ve hired new instructors and staff, created new summer camps and afterschool programs (while continuing to offer popular programs like Fiddle Camp), and explored new community activities. All of which is great, and yet we want to do MORE.
Headwaters offers scholarships based on financial need to give more youth and adults access to art and music experiences. Donor contributions grow our scholarship fund and help more students to learn, grow and find belonging here.
Exciting projects are planned for 2025, including an accessibility audit with help from Minnesota State Arts Board and an adult discovery series funded by Region 2 Arts Council (there’s even been talk of developing an *adult* Rock Band program). These agencies believe in our mission and values and support our programming. And while we can receive grants for specific projects as a nonprofit, we rely on individual donations and sustaining member contributions to help keep our doors open and keep moving forward.
Will you show your support by donating to Headwaters Music & Arts today?
Thank you for contributing to our success and being a part of our future.
Sincerely,
Tricia Andrews, Executive Director, and the Headwaters Music & Arts Board of Directors
