Support Headwaters Music & Arts

Headwaters Music & Arts has served as a nonprofit 501c3 organization since 1997. Our mission is to provide opportunities for creativity through instruction and to inspire community through music and the arts. We operate on a combination of donor contributions, grants, and student tuition. If you value arts experiences, please consider contributing to Headwaters. Your dollars will be used toward day to day expenses of running the school, student scholarships, and supporting music & arts events that connect people in our community and the surrounding area. Any amount helps Headwaters continue to do what we’ve been doing for over 25 years - creating community and providing accessible music and art experiences. You can make a lasting impact by supporting the arts in Bemidji!

Volunteer your time.

Painting projects, setting up for Open Mic, working an info booth at a community event, distributing event flyers, greeting students in the lobby - there are plenty of ways to help out at Headwaters. We have a small staff, but we love what we do and we’d love to have you help however your schedule and skills allow.

When you volunteer at Headwaters you make connections with other community members who value the arts. Your willingness to help and be involved creates a positive ripple effect that enriches our community and makes it an even better place to live.

Join our Board of Directors.

The volunteers on our board of directors contribute to the smooth running of our organization. They serve for two year terms with the ability to extend, and they serve on focused sub-committees or can become an officer on the executive committee. The board meets as a whole once a month, and participates in special Headwaters events throughout the year.

Serving on the board of directors provides members with valuable experience and connections in the local business and public administration community. And board members serve the organization by providing steady guidance and accountability as we strive to fulfill our mission. Let us know below if you are interested in joining the Headwaters board.
