Hailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina, guitarist Mauro Gutierrez started playing music at 15, following in the steps of his father, grandfather and great grandfather (who played in a Tango orchestra in the 40's).

Mauro played in 4 different bands in Argentina in styles that included rock, hard rock, funk and blues. Having moved to Bemidji 3 years ago, he currently plays with The Occassionals and at his solo gigs around town. On November 5 Mauro will share Argentinian folk music, some rock, blues and original instrumental songs.
