The atmosphere in our art studio is relaxed, collaborative and just plain fun.

Youth Pottery
Headwaters afterschool youth pottery program is held weekly October to May, the program is an introduction to clay skills for youth in grades 2-12. All skill levels can take part in this fun and supervised open pottery experience for youth. Participants will get the opportunity to learn clay techniques, receive an introduction to wheel throwing, and practice using coil, slab, and pinch methods to make clay creations. Students will learn paint and glaze techniques as they complete various projects to bring home all while making friends at Headwaters Pottery Studio.
Adult Pottery
Adult Pottery Program Memberships
Monday, 6- 8pm or Wednesday, 5-7pm
This, year-round, open studio style program is for all skill levels and includes supervision and individualized instruction. Participants can expect to practice using coil, slab, and pinch methods, learn paint and glaze techniques, and receive an introduction to wheel throwing. A subscription to Adult Pottery Program gives participants access to monthly social gatherings with other Adult Pottery members and select Open Pottery hours. Open Pottery is a self directed studio time in Headwaters’ Pottery Studio to practice techniques. While no formal instruction is provided during Open Pottery, volunteer studio hosts will be in attendance to give support and encouragement.
First time participants in Adult Pottery Program will receive a complimentary 12.5 lbs of clay when they first sign up. After that, clay can be purchased through Headwaters Music & Arts. Note that only clay purchased through Headwaters can be fired at Headwaters. Firing and glaze are all provided free of charge.
Adult Pottery Program participants sign up for a year-long subscription plan that is billed monthly on the date of registration until terminated. Participants must renew their yearly membership subscription every 12 months. Though membership can be canceled or renewed at any time Headwaters requires a 30 day notice prior to cancellation of membership to end charges for any given month. Participants who do not give 30 days notice will be charged for the coming month.
