Step into a world of vibrant imagination and artistic expression, where the enchanting Japanese kawaii art style meets the captivating realm of color theory. This summer camp is a haven for young artists eager to explore the connections between colors and emotions, while diving into the whimsical universe of Kawaii.
Immerse yourself in a kaleidoscope of creativity as we embark on a journey to master the art of drawing inspired by adorable kawaii characters. Campers will be guided through the fundamentals of Kawaii design, helping them bring their own cute and expressive characters to life on paper. But the adventure doesn’t stop there! We’ll unravel the secrets of color theory, discovering how different hues and shades can evoke a spectrum of emotions. Through hands-on activities, games, and projects, campers will experiment with the power of color, learning to convey feelings and moods in their artwork. The week will end with a showcase where campers can display their masterpieces, celebrating their newfound skills and friendships.
All activity materials are provided, as well as a light snack. For full-day programs, please bring a sack lunch and water bottle each day.

All participants or guardians are required to read and sign the Headwaters Art Program Policies when attending any Headwaters Group Class.
Please note: $40 of the total camp fee will be retained as a nonrefundable deposit. If you would like to register for camp and pay only the deposit now, please call Headwaters Music & Arts at 218-444-5606. Headwaters requires 2 weeks’ notice prior to the start date of a camp to provide a refund. Participants who do not give 2 weeks’ notice and do not attend the program will not be refunded their camp fee. Read more about our refunds policies here.
The deadline to register is two weeks before the program start date. We will follow up at that time with additional confirmation details and an update on any balance due. If we have not met the minimum number of participants by 2 weeks prior to the start date, we will follow up with additional details once we have reached the minimum number.
