Strings Ensemble Retreat is a week-long summer camp for musicians of all ages who are passionate about string instruments.
Led by Headwaters Music & Arts instructors, this retreat offers a unique opportunity to hone your skills, explore ensemble playing, and forge lasting connections with fellow string enthusiasts. Whether you’re a budding young musician or an experienced player, our program is for individuals of all skill levels, providing a supportive and nurturing environment where everyone can thrive. Throughout the week, participants will engage in a diverse range of musical activities, including:
Ensemble rehearsals: Join forces with your peers to explore a rich repertoire of chamber music, orchestral pieces, and contemporary compositions, under the guidance of our experienced instructors.
Small group coaching: Receive personalized attention and feedback as you refine your technique, enhance your musical expression, and cultivate ensemble dynamics in intimate chamber groups.
Masterclasses: Learn from guest artists and experts in the field as they share insights, techniques, and strategies for musical growth and performance excellence.
Performance opportunities: Showcase your talent and hard work in a final ensemble performance, where you’ll have the chance to shine on stage and share your passion for music with an audience.

All participants or guardians are required to read and sign the Headwaters Art Program Policies when attending any Headwaters Group Class.
Please note: $40 of the total camp fee will be retained as a nonrefundable deposit. If you would like to register for camp and pay only the deposit now, please call Headwaters Music & Arts at 218-444-5606. Headwaters requires 2 weeks’ notice prior to the start date of a camp to provide a refund. Participants who do not give 2 weeks’ notice and do not attend the program will not be refunded their camp fee. Read more about our refunds policies here.
The deadline to register is two weeks before the program start date. We will follow up at that time with additional confirmation details and an update on any balance due. If we have not met the minimum number of participants by 2 weeks prior to the start date, we will follow up with additional details once we have reached the minimum number.
