Headwaters Youth Orchestra is geared towards providing local musicians with the opportunity to perform in a full symphony orchestra. It is open to students from the Bemidji area who have at least 6 months of experience on their instrument.

Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from 5:00-6:00 pm, and we will present two concerts this semester: one in March and the other in May. Students will also have the opportunity to perform side-by-side with the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra in April. The season will resume on Monday, January 23 where students will get a chance to meet the directors, as well as participate in a full group rehearsal. Please see our flier for more information about youth orchestra activities.

Headwaters Youth Orchestra has, for years, provided local students an opportunity to perform with musicians from other schools and programs. We value participation by students of all levels, as we feel older students can serve as role models and mentors to younger students.

Because we only rehearse once a week, we ask that you make the commitment to practice your music and attend all rehearsals (weather permitting).
